The history of Christmas tree
The tradition of holiday tree has its beginning in Germany. In the 16th century devout Germans locate in their houses the decorated trees. Some was made wooden pyramids and then decked them with lights and plants. Candles was hunged on a holiday tree by Martin Luther in the same time. Inspiration for candles appears during walking. Mentioned protestant reformer one December evening noticed brillinace of stars twinkling between evergreens.

Small group of people know that majority of 19th century residents of America treated holiday trees as crankiness. One of the first information about holiday tree in that region appeared in 1830s and tell about German settlers as a owners of Christmas tree. Somebody say that the Pennsylvania German settlements decorated holiday trees even in 1747. However, as late as the 1840s Christmas trees were treated as symbols of pagan and they were not approved by majority of American citizens.
The tradition of carols
The definition of „carol” actually means dance or a song of joy and praise. In the past carols were pagan songs those were sung during Winter Solstice celebrations when people danced around stone circles. Early Christians inspired pagan songs and gave songs for Christian. In 129 the song „Angel’s Hymn” was known and played during Christmas celebrations in Rome. Another Christmas song was written in 760 for the Greek Orthodox Church. Then more and more composers in Europe started creating Christmas carols. However majority of Christmas carols was written in Latin and that’s why a lots of people were not intrested in those things.
